I intend to collect some thoughts on complexity, to complement my thoughts on uncertainty.  The two are related, because ‘true’ complexity generates uncertainty, while for lesser complexities one has ‘mere probability’.

Currently, these notes are not particularly rationalised, cross-referenced etc. Also, some of my better comments may still be elsewhere. My thinking as it was a while back is here. In essence it hasn’t change much. I typically find British complexity theory of the 1920s and 30s provides a good picture while American complexity theory of the 1980s and subsequently provides some detail. We still  need to work hard to link the two, and to link them to experience and practice.
